Judge Damon J. Keith is truly a citizen of the world. He is recognized internationally for his humanitarian accomplishments and ground-breaking judicial rulings in areas such as housing, access to education, and the First Amendment in civil rights.

Damon J. Keith was born in Detroit, Michigan, and has served as a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit since 1977. Prior to his appointment to the Court of Appeals, Judge Keith served as Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
